about

This is the first collaboration between Tomotsugu Nakamura and Darren McClure, under the Suisen moniker. After meeting at a 12k show in Tokyo a few years ago and striking up a friendship, they decided to keep in touch and work on new material together.

Suisen is the Japanese name for the Narcissist flower, a common sight that signals the first signs of Spring. Their music tries to convey this feeling of renewal, the intangible aspects of a season’s transition. They use a combination of digital and analogue electronics, processed field recordings and acoustic instruments to make sounds to both zoom out to and zoom into.
